passed April 2nd. He was the beloved husband of Maria Adelaide Pires. They would have been married for 62 years in September.
He had been employed for many years by Hasbro Inc. of Central Falls.
Besides his wife he is survived by two sons, Joaquim Luis Pires and his wife Maria Antonieta Pires and Jose Carlos Pires and his wife Maria “Tita” Mendes Pires, 3 grandchildren, Jennifer Carlyn Pires, Alexander Carlton Pires and Telmo Pires and his wife Tiffany and 3 great grandchildren.
His funeral will be held Thursday at 8am from the Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave, Lincoln with Prayers of Final Commendation in Our Lady of Fatima Church, 1 Fatima Drive, Cumberland at 9am. Burial will be in Mt Calvary Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, April 4th from 5 to 8pm
